API Information
Overview
The LightBox Assessment API provides standardized property assessment information sourced from local assessing jurisdictions across the United States. Assessment records include property valuations, tax information, ownership, land characteristics, improvement details, legal descriptions, and jurisdictional identifiers such as assessor parcel numbers (APNs). Each assessment is assigned a persistent LightBox Assessment ID and can be connected to related parcels, addresses, structures, and properties through LightBox IDs. Through the API, developers and analysts can retrieve assessment records by identifier, address, or spatial query and integrate assessment information into property research, valuation, underwriting, investment analysis, and location intelligence workflows.
