API Information

Version:v1.1.0
Region:US
Used for:Supporting demographic, economic, market, infrastructure, and geospatial analysis by integrating standardized Core-Based Statistical Area boundaries into location-based workflows.

Overview

The LightBox CBSA Boundaries API provides standardized geographic boundaries for Core-Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs) as defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB). CBSAs represent geographic areas centered around urban population cores and include both Metropolitan Statistical Areas and Micropolitan Statistical Areas. Through the API, developers and analysts can search for CBSAs, retrieve boundary geometry, and incorporate these standardized statistical geographies into demographic, economic, market, infrastructure, and geospatial analysis workflows.
