Overview
The LightBox EPA Sites API provides access to authoritative data on Superfund and Brownfield sites across the U.S., as designated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Superfund sites fall under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), a federal program established in 1980 to identify, assess, and clean up the nation's most hazardous waste sites. The API enables users to identify locations of environmental concern, assess proximity risk, and overlay these sites in mapping and analytical workflows.
