The LightBox FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) API provides access to geospatial flood risk data as defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). It delivers current effective flood hazard information, including flood zones and base flood elevations, which are used to evaluate property-level flood exposure and to support compliance with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This API empowers professionals in insurance, lending, site selection, and environmental due diligence to integrate FEMA risk layers into their spatial workflows.
