The LightBox FEMA National Risk Index API delivers a composite view of natural hazard exposure, social vulnerability, and community resilience as defined by FEMA’s National Risk Index (NRI). This data helps communities, insurers, urban planners, and risk modelers evaluate which areas are more susceptible to hazards and which may require prioritized resilience investments. The API supports address- and ID-based queries, returns geometries in WKT format, and integrates seamlessly into mapping and analysis platforms.
