What is the difference between an API and an API Product?
API stands for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. An API product bundles resources (such as API proxies) in order to provide a specific level of access and functionality for client app developers. On the other hand, an API product typically specifies a list of API proxies, along with access limits, API key approval method, and other configuration that should be in place for all of the bundled proxies.
What is the difference between the staging URL and a production URL?
The staging URL is used during the discovery process and is not guaranteed to point to the complete LightBox datasets. Once you have proper permissions, a new key will be provided for the production URL. The services between the two will match, and as long as you are licensed to each endpoint, they will work the same

Where do I go to request API keys?
Log into your account either on the staging portal or the production portal. Then go to apps and create an app. Once the app is created you can select the app and view your API key under Credentials and Consumer Key.
